Just a few points difference between Boris Johnson v Michael Gove and Dominic Raab v Gove. Johnson has 57 per cent, Raab had 52 per cent. Against Raab, Gove had 36 per cent; against Johnson, he has 34 per cent.
Survey totals go up and down, but this finding makes one think back to 2016, and Gove’s abandonment of Johnson during the leadership contest of that year.
We don’t expect to see a Johnson v Raab final – it is unlikely that MPs will put two pro-Brexit non-Cabinet Ministers into the final round – but we will give you that result tomorrow morning.
