In our last survey, 63.76 per cent of our members said that “Boris Johnson is dealing with Covid-19 well”, 30.17 per cent said “badly” and 6.07 per cent were undecided. Our latest results show that this view hasn’t shifted much at all.
Since March 2020, the results for this question have moved around quite a bit (see below). In July they dipped around the time of the ‘pingdemic’, before increasing in August. Can Johnson bring his rating up again? Or is this stable figure a reflection of the fact the news cycle has been less Covid-focussed in recent months?
One thing is for certain, which is that there will be more headlines on the subject in the new few weeks – due to the risk of a flu and Covid “twindemic” the UK. How this bears on Johnson’s rating is largely contingent upon the success of Plan A.
