Today’s papers reports that Zac Goldsmith has been dismissed as an Environment Minister but is expected to stay in government as a Foreign Office Minister.
However, the reshuffle has been paused during this official mourning period – not that this deters reporting, some of it unconfirmed, about Bills from the Johnson Government being dropped.
At any rate, here for the moment is the list of Ministerial appointments that we have, together with the dates when ConservativeHome recorded them.
No new ones appear to have been made (as opposed to announced) since the mourning period began. We’ve recorded which new Ministers supported which candidates in the leadership election.
And we’ll return to the list when further appointments are made, together with analysis of the full list when we finally have it, presumably later next week. There is no list yet of sacked Ministers.

15.30 Paul Goodman reporting
This will be a much rougher and readier take than this site’s recent Cabinet reshuffle blog.
I’m particularly interested in who the appointee voted for, whether they’re a retread who was previously dimissed or not, and whether they’ve been a whip.
The former whips are not always well listed elsewhere so all information welcome.
First tranche of appointments:
- Robert Jenrick, Minister of State at Health and Social Care. Backed Sunak – part of a Johnson-backing “gang of three” in 2019 with the former Chancellor and Oliver Dowden; former Cabinet Minister and retread.
- Rachel Maclean, Minister of State at Justice. Backed Truss after backing Javid.
- Victoria Prentis, Minister of State at Work and Pensions. Backed Sunak.
- Julia Lopez, Minister of State at Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Backed Truss after backing Badenoch.
- Michael Tomlinson, Solicitor General. Former whip, not listed as either a Sunak or Truss supporter.
