Dr Spencer Pitfield is the National Voluntary Director of the Conservative Policy Forum (CPF)
The Conservative Policy Forum will be holding its annual Winter Conference at the Holiday Inn Leeds-Garforth on 25-26 January 2014. We hope that you are able to join us for what promises to be a weekend of stimulating political debate and policy discussion.
Over the course of that weekend attendees will be participating in a range of sessions designed to help the CPF fulfil the remit which Oliver Letwin has given it of facilitating a national discussion on policy issues which will have a direct influence on the outcome of the 2015 General Election campaign. We have structured the programme to provide participants with a range of opinions about the problems we will be facing in 2015. This will include sessions on the economy, Britain’s place in the world, young people and skills and the impact of social media on policy making.
As always the Winter Conference has attracted an outstanding group of speakers – Graham Brady MP, Chairman of the 1922 Committee; Sajid Javid MP, Financial Secretary to the Treasury; Rebecca Harris MP, Vice Chairman for Youth; Eric Ollerenshaw MP OBE; Timothy Kirkhope MEP; Tim Montgomerie, Opinion Editor and columnist for The Times; Lord Lucas; Emma Pidding, Chairman of the National Convention; and Eddie Copeland, Head of Digital Government at Policy Exchange.
I am also pleased to announce that Timothy Kirkhope MEP will be hosting a European Reception on the Saturday evening with all Conference delegates invited.
Once again we will be offering our all-inclusive package for just £175 for CPF members who book before 6 December 2013. There are also a number of day pass options starting from £40. Further information about the Conference can be found here, while the online booking form can be found here. Alternatively, please email cpf@conservatives.com to reserve your place.
And don’t forget – the deadline for the early bird rate is 6 December 2013. I look forward to welcoming you to our Winter Conference in January!
To help publicise the conference, this article will run each morning from December 2 until December 6
