The Tory MP accused of perusing erotica whilst in the chamber of the House of Commons has been named as Neil Parish. For this, he has been suspended from the parliamentary party and finds himself under investigation by the Commons Standards Committee. Parish referred himself for investigation, according to party sources.
This comes after two female fellow MPs expressed their shock earlier this week at having allegedly seen him viewing content of an adult nature via an electronic device whilst sat near them on the green benches.
Depending on how the Commons Standards Committee rules, Parish could be found to have breached the code of conduct for MPs. He may be made to apologise to the Commons, face suspension, or even be expelled.
