Supporters can attempt to shorten the process and force a decision, but this stifles the debate. I fear this immensely complicated issue, and the practicalities of it, will not get the discussion it really needs.
I would argue we can’t rely on central command and control anymore. The solution must lie in the empowerment of local Associations. If we are being radical, CCHQ must be reshaped to serve Associations.
